Our first Summer tournament is here by popular demand. Join us for 2 fun days of tournament play. Full details are shown below.
(The tournament was cut to one day due to the possible visit of Hurricane Gustav. Players were refunded $10 each in compensation.)
Please note that for the Open Section:
* all games will be played even,
* we require a minimum of 6 registered players,
* refunds or a chance to play in the Handicap Section will be offered should there are insufficient registered players.
* players must have an AGA dan rating or equivalent.
(In the end there were no takers for the Open Section.) |

Prizes |
Cash prizes will be offered to winners in the Open Section based on 75% of the entering fees collected.
Cash, Go books and Go paraphernalia will be offered to winners in the Handicap section. Section bands (divisions) will be determined by the number of participants and their entering ranks. |

If headed westbound on the South Loop (I-610 near Reliant Stadium/Astrodome), exit Stella Link (exit number 3) and U-turn at the light, then take the fifth right onto Timberside Drive then
(if you find yourself at Main St. you've gone too far.) Timberside leads straight into the entrance of the school.
If headed eastbound on the South Loop (I-610 near Reliant Stadium/Astrodome) exit Main Street (exit number 2) take the third right on to Timberside Drive then (if you find yourself at Main St. you've gone too far.) Timberside leads straight into the entrance of the school.
Free parking is available in the school parking lots. Enter the school main entrance and follow the corridor to your left. The tournament will be held in the gymnasium. |
